Though I indicated last time the cartoons will come in ones and twos more frequently, somehow I have not got into the rhythm to do it. So, here we are with another bunch.
But I assure you, single cartoons based on the latest happenings will follow very shortly.
The topics covered are self-explanatory and are my take on the events. From ‘Archives’ shows a cartoon I did long ago for The Daily on price rise. A price-hike in every commodity is on the way and it’s better to be prepared for the inevitable. On Farmer’s bill, I am trying to figure out the pros and cons of it and a cartoon can be expected in the next few days.
In the absence of an effective Opposition in Parliament to enforce checks and balances as envisaged in our Democratic system, the role of cartoonists have become more relevant to highlight the flaws/shortcomings of the ruling dispensation who seem to be in a tearing hurry to push through important legislations without meaningful debates. I will do my part, come what may! Bye and Jai Hind.
